Kateřina Sidiropulu Janků works at the Institute for Applied Research on Ageing at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences and is a distance learner in the doctoral programme Architecture and Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague; she studied Sociology and Mass Media Studies and Journalism at Masaryk University. Her research interests include technological support of social innovations, applied and participatory research, transdisciplinary research practices and qualitative research methods. Her current research topics include the development of technologies for autonomous living for the elderly, public spaces in small cities, and biographical research on social change.
